(1) Gas produced by melt decomposition (corrosive)

Some raw materials will produce volatile gases after heating, these gases are more corrosive, they will cause corrosion to the mold. Therefore, it is necessary to control the temperature of the barrel not to overheat, and when the equipment stops working, wipe the mold with a soft cloth and close the mold. If it is not used for a long time, the mold cavity should be sprayed with antirust agent, and butter should be applied to block the gate when closing the mold.

(2) Cooling water in the mold

In the mold, cooling water is used for cooling, so there is more moisture around the molding equipment. If the mold is cooled below the dew point, the moisture in the air will form water droplets on the surface of the mold, and it will rust if it is not wiped off in time. Especially after the mold stops working, condensation water will be generated quickly. Therefore, when the molding is stopped, the cooling water should also be turned off and the mold should be wiped dry.

(3) Carbide produced during molding

After working for a long time, the forming material is precipitated and decomposed to form carbide, which is also corrosive and often causes the mold to wear, corrode or rust. In this regard, if found to have carbide generation, such as water droplets, should be removed immediately.

(4) Storage environment

During the storage process, if the mold is in a humid environment for a long time, it is prone to rust. In this regard, we should control the environmental humidity, keep dry and ventilated in the place where the mold is stored, and avoid humid environment.

(5) Use process

If the mold is not properly maintained and maintained during use, it will be prone to rust. In this regard, when using the mold, it is necessary to strengthen maintenance and maintenance, timely cleaning and application of anti-rust oil.
